Preservation Resolutions - Making a preservation plan for 2018 and beyond

Take advantage of this annual gathering of preservation-minded Alabamians to learn first-hand about the
political and funding landscapes for preservation and new trends on the national scene. Our featured
speaker is Erik Hein, Executive Director of the National Conference of State Historic Preservation Officers (NCSHPO),
the professional association of the State government officials who carry out the national historic preservation program as delegates of the Secretary of the Interior pursuant to the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966. With budget and policy changes occurring at the federal level, Hein's briefing has
import for all of us in the field.

As Alabama enters its second year of a planned 3-year bicentennial celebration, learn more about the impact
of Alabama's Rehabilitation Tax Credit and Preservation Monument Act. Discover the importance of
preservation advocacy at the local level, and listen to state preservationists discuss trends in their
communities that involve WWI Centennial Preservation, Mid-Century Modern Architecture
and Equalizations Schools initiatives.
